A Not-So-Quiet Night In at Madame Tussauds

As you might imagine, a 'quiet night in' was never going to be the case and guests were entertained all night, starting with a taxi ride around London 'through the ages', arriving in the A-List room for a champagne reception with the Beckhams, Kate Moss, George Clooney and Will Smith, to name but a few!  This was followed by a burlesque ballet during dinner and then Scottish comedian Fred MacAulay and the fantastic Rory Bremner provided lots of laughs amongst the waxworks.

Martin Bayfield was back to reprise his role as auctioneer for the evening and managed to persuade our guests to take part in the auction and tempted them with gorgeous auction lots; including a fabulous, luxury holiday to Raffles Canounan in the Grenadines, kindly donated by our very good friends at Eden Collection and a private 'White Truffle' fine dining experience at home with Michelin-starred chef Martin Wishart.  Bidding was fierce for house party at Archerfield House and a Ferrari factory tour with luxury hospitality was snapped up!

Guests also bid for epilepsy alarms in a special lot and their generosity will help us to provide over 30 alarms to families caring for a child with epilepsy.

The evening was a fabulous success; with £200,000 being raised  in support children withe epilepsy, some of which will go  to support our partnership with The University of Edinburgh's School of Medicine, and will help us  on  our way towards our £1million target for the Muir Maxwell Centre for Childhood Epilepsy Research.

An enormous thank you to everyone who donated prizes for the event, and to everyone who gave so generously on the night itself.  Their support is enormously appreciated.
