Mad Hatter's Tea Party

When is a Tea Party not a Tea Party? - when it's a Black Tie Dinner!

We couldn't be more excited at MMT. Further to a year of abstinence from themed fundraising events, at last there is a Mad Hatter's Tea Party on the horizon. Planned for Sunday 3rd July, this unusual  "sold out"  tea party will take place on the Queen's Lawn at Fettes College in partnership with the Fettes Foundation, representing a unique collaboration between the themes of literature and epilepsy!

Hosted by MMT's loyal Ambassador, Christopher Biggins and the Grand Dame Barbara Windsor, guests will enjoy a tipple in a long stemmed tea cup, amongst the cast of Wonderland, with costumes designed by students from Edinburgh College of Art, followed by a magical trip through a repertoire of exquisite and delectable dishes prepared by Michelin Star Chef Martin Wishart and wine by Zubair Mohammed of Raeburn Fine Wines.

Also rising to this very special occasion in the MMT calendar will be Lizzie Bell of Lizzie Bell Interiors who will muster all her creative talent to deliver her "interpretation" of Alice's Wonderland where our guests will be indulged with "eat me's" and "drink me's" and entertainment of a kind they may never have seen before - including Scottish Soprano Catriona Clark, Operatic Diva and West End Leading Lady - all tastefully classical but different!

Funds for both causes will be raised by way of literally " money can't buy" auction items managed by the very tall and very handsome Martin Bayfield (alias Hagrid's body in Harry Potter), including a fabulous trip to Geneva in a private plane as a guest of a famous jeweller to visit the factory of a very famous watch maker, a VIP weekend at Burghley International Horse Trials as a guest of International Event Rider Nick Gauntlett, a bust of a loved one by the famous sculpture  John Doubleday - and much, much more!

And one lucky lady will take home a Stephen Webster Diamond Studded Cuff (valued at £8700) donated by Hamilton & Inches!

Watch our website Gallery, in the weeks ahead, for clues to more amazing surprises we have in store!

We simply can't wait!
