At last we have launched our new website and I am very excited by the content and the opportunity it gives us to develop the charity.

There are so many good things happening at MMT right now. The Edinburgh Marathon is imminent and our runners are turning in to "couch potatoes" as they wind down their training in the run up to the event – and that includes me! We are hoping for good weather (not too hot) and lots of personal bests to mark the occasion. If you feel like coming out to support us, we are the guys in the red and white vests and MUIR MAXWELL TRUST is the name.

Then there is our MMT Art Fair, now in its third year, which is run by the Gallery Girls who previously ran the Edinburgh Marathon for MMT as a relay team. Not that they have given up but progressed to greater things! Jan is running the whole 26.2 miles this year and Jane and her husband are running it as a two person relay.

Local art sold for charity is the theme and MMT is the beneficiary. This highly successful event will be held at the Bonham Hotel in Edinburgh once again and the dates are 7^th and 8^th June. I would be so grateful for your support of this amazing event.

We are literally bursting with fundraising ideas at MMT but for the moment, without the resource to take many of these ideas forward. However, we have secured funding for two full-time fundraisers and we hope to fill these posts very soon.

Our next calendar event, in terms of fundraising, is our Casino Royale night at Edinburgh’s Sheraton Grande Hotel. You will be pleased to hear that everything is progressing nicely. We will have some news for you soon on our absolutely fantastic entertainment for that evening – not to mention our hallmark diamonds and car.
