Thirty Eight Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Rainbows and Brownies pulled on their running shoes to take part in a charity run at Witton Park Athletics Track in Blackburn in November. They raised raised a fantastic £742 which will be split equally between The Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital's Cheeky Monkey Challenge, which supports children with leukemia and the Muir Maxwell Trust.
Scout leader Ian Fletcher nominated MMT to receive support from the children because of his personal connection to the Trust. His daughter Bethany received an alarm from MMT in the spring and he was keen to be able to give something back.
An enormous thank you to Ian and his fellow Scout leaders and volunteers for arranging the day. Thank you also to all of the children who took part. We hope you had a fantastic time!
